From material sourcing to shipping, every choice we make is guided by respect for people and the planet.
Our goal is to evolve Phal • Angée into a carbon-neutral garment sourcing house by 2040, creating measurable environmental and social impact across our entire supply chain and the communities we work with.
For every garment produced through Phal • Angée, one bamboo 🎋 seedling is planted in the manufacturing country.
Our environmental roadmap goes beyond offsetting. As we scale, we plan to integrate advanced environmental technologies into our partner factories, including:
• Effluent treatment systems for cleaner dyeing and finishing
• Bio-adsorbents to remove heavy metals and chemical residues from wastewater
• AI-driven monitoring of water, energy, and emissions to optimize resource use
• Renewable energy integration in production facilities
• Sustainable material innovation and low-impact dye processes
We fund and manage the entire sustainability project ourselves.
Our team of environmentalists and sustainability specialists oversees research, development, planting, monitoring, and land rehabilitation.
For us, sustainability is a journey, not a finish line...
Supporting carbon absorption, land restoration, and local livelihoods.
Why Bamboo? 🎍
Fast-growing and highly efficient at carbon absorption compared to many tree species
Restores degraded soil and helps prevent land erosion
Creates sustainable livelihood opportunities for local communities
Carbon Impact (Estimates):
Average garment production footprint: ~6–30 kg CO₂e
Average bamboo plant lifetime sequestration: ~10–20 kg CO₂e
(Figures based on published life-cycle assessment (LCA) research. Estimates will be refined as verified data from our operations becomes available.)
